Day 4: “This is my Heartbeat Song…

…and I’m gonna play it!”

The first thing on my agenda is to address some housekeeping items associated with my blog. The development of my evolution is based on the real “c-word” – change. I have always been apprehensive when it comes to the new and unknown. Fear-based resistance has been a key component of my unwillingness (at times) to change. That being said, I scrolled through my blog last night as a means of reflection. While I like the format, it lacks the spirit of Kelly I was hoping to convey. It also lacks the full spirit of me.

I have decided to make a couple of changes.

  1. I will no longer post photos of breakfast food. The past two photos were not my best efforts. Besides, breakfast is more of a fuel source through this challenge than an interesting topic. If Kelly Clarkson’s face appears on a piece of toast, I will post about breakfast food. Otherwise, the reign of the egg white omelette is over.
  2. I will start to include videos. While I love to type and express myself through the written word, I recognize that I need to be more comfortable with myself on video (in particular the sound of my voice) to truly step out of my comfort zone.

Do you know that it’s Valentine’s Day? I do. Let’s face it we all do. I really don’t have a lot to say about Valentine’s Day. Mikey and I will be attending “Isn’t It Romantic” at Flix Brewhouse. There might be a card or a bouquet of flowers, but generally Mikey and I just enjoy date night – a rarity for us.

I need to get ready for work. I feel like I lost a step. Tomorrow, I will definitely take a day off from the gym to let my body recover and recharge. In the mean time, feel free to see my current weight loss stats.

Previous Weight: 202.8 lbs.

Current Weight: 202.0 lbs.

In addition, I want to include the stats from my morning jog at Anytime Fitness. Though they are not as stellar as yesterday’s numbers, I feel like I am starting to find a comfortable pace. Life’s a marathon, not a race!
