We can see a pattern here with the Book of Job where in one Chapter, his friends confront him and speak their opinion of how Job ended up in these circumstances, and in the next Chapter, or two, Job retorts.

In Job 18, it is once again Bildad’s turn to offer insight or observation into Job’s situation, and then in Chapter 19, Job retorts.

I don’t have to tell you what is said, you can read it for yourself. Just know that, despite everything Bildad has said or suggested, Job does not lose faith in God, refuses to blame God for his condition. And that is how it is..the Book of Job is the perfect example of how God doesn’t not cause us heartache and strife, but rather it is Satan who does it. He is trying hard to draw us away from God, to blame God for our problems. And the sad thing it, many times it works.

Every time a natural disaster occurs, like a tornado, I see comments from people, “Where was your God?”, “Why didn’t your God save you?” “If there was a God, why would he allow this?” And this is exactly what Satan wants us to think.

I may not be smart enough to understand each line of Job, but I know that my God is my Heavenly Father, and just like my earthly father was, He loves me, He want’s the best for me, and He certainly does not cause me harm.
