This chapter begins by related the death of Sarah, who by now was 177 years old. Notice how our lives are getting shorter the further we get from Adam, who was over 900 years old, and the further we get away from God. Back then, her 177 year life probably seems as if she went “too early”, and today, we celebrate big if someone makes it to 100.

Abraham bought a cave in which to bury Sarah, and today, that cave is now preserved, a large building built over it to preserve it, where tourists can still go and look at the area. In fact, this video is very lightening.
