The First Plague – The waters turn to blood.
The Second Plague – Frogs.
The Third Plague – Lice.
The Fourth Plague – Flies.
The Fifth Plague – Diseased Livestock.
The Sixth Plague – Boils.
The Seventh Plague – Hail.
Pharaoh is slowly breaking down. The first plague he scoffed at, especially when his magicians could repeat the entire thing. By the 7th Plague, Pharaoh at least promised to let the children of Israel go, even though he broke him promise in the end and failed to follow through. So the plagues continue.
The Eighth Plague God sent on Egypt was locusts. Locusts covered the ground, and ate what residue was left from the hail. And now, even Pharaoh’s servants are afraid, and are urging Pharaoh to let the people go.
So Pharaoh once again confessed his sin, and promised to let the Israelites go if he sent the locusts away. And they did, and once again, Pharoah did not keep his promise.
The Ninth Plague was darkness. The Bible says it was so dark, they could “feel” the darkness. For three days, it was totally dark, so dark they could not see one another, and I can only assume it was so dark that even dilated pupils could not let enough light in to see. It must have been if everyone was blind. And no one was able to leave their house because of the darkness for three days.
But the children of Israel had light.
And God hardened Pharaohs heart again, so much that Pharaoh sent Moses away with the threat that if he saw Moses again, Moses would die.

The final and last Plague, Number 10; God told Moses that all the first born of Egypt would die. From Pharaoh’s own first born son, to the first born son’s of Pharaohs servants, to the firstborn animals of the livestock. But the children of Israel will not suffer.
So Moses delivered the message, but God knew Pharaoh would not listen.
How much does Pharaoh have to endure to understand the message of God? How much do we have to endure before we surrender to God? Again, this is a battle between the good (God) and His people, and evil (Satan) and the Pharaoh of the people of Egypt. And even the Egyptians are now in awe of the Lord and are pleading for Pharaoh to surrender. But he doesn’t until it is too late.
Again, I get angry when I hear others blame God for their problems. They blame God for the death and destruction that occurs everyday, or at the very least, they blame God for not intervening. My question is, have they surrendered their lives to God? Are they worthy of Gods “hedge of protection”. Satan rules this earth, he and his angels were cast to earth by God. Satan is the one causing all of this death and disease, hoping that people will turn away from God because of it, blaming God for the things Satan is responsible for. And we will not learn. The Bible plainly states that the wicked will perish in the end.
Will you perish because you have separated yourself from God?
