Many of David’s psalms are exalting and praising God for the blessings God bestowed upon David, and we continue with more.
Psalm 20:
Verse 1, “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble” – but, you have to turn to Him when you’re in trouble…if you distance yourself from Him and ignore Him, your chances a far less.
Psalm 22:
You will find many prophetic verses throughout the Old Testament that lead you to Jesus Christ OR, you will find many of Jesus’ saying He quoted from the OT.
Verse 1 (as written by David) “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” – these are the exact words Jesus said as He was dying on the cross.
Verse 16 “They pierced My hands and My feet”. – as was Jesus’ when he was nailed to the cross.
Verse 18 “They divide My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” – the Roman soldiers cast lots for Jesus clothing.
Verse 24 “Nor has He hidden His face from Him; But when He cried to Him, He heard.” – What? Look at all the capitalized pronounces. If this is God, does this make sense? (Nor has God hidden God’s face from God). No, this is clearly talking about Jesus…Nor has God hidden His face from Jesus.
Psalm 23:
One of the most famous psalms written, often referred to as the 23rd Psalm…and yes, it is a good one. Following is a couple of songs written about Psalm 23, and one is my favorite. The tune it is written to is hauntingly beautiful, and when I say that, it sticks is stuck in my head forever.
God bless you all.
And here is my favorite…
