Psalm 91:
Verse 9 “Because you have made the Lord…your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.” – If you give yourself to the Lord, truly and sincerely give yourself to Him, He will protect you. And trust me, it is often difficult to do, especially if you’ve recently came back to God. We get used to handling our own problems, and we are not capable of doing that…we need the help of God to do that. Especially in my case, I was in public safety for almost 50 years, my job to respond to emergencies and to abate them, so for me it is my instinct to tackle problems on my own. But know that I’ve returned to God, I know He can handle those problems much easier than I and also instantaneously. So if we give up of ourselves and put our total trust in God, He will take care of us. It just takes faith. And just as Satan sends his fallen angels to tempt us, God sends His angels to protect us…the cliche of “guardian angel” is not a cliche, but rather truth. So when faced with anything in life, always put your trust in the Lord, have faith that He will take care of you, then give in to His Will. And to modernize this verse a bit, “Lest you dash your foot on the bedpost (or coffee table)” :).

Psalm 92:
Titled, “A Song for the Sabbath Day”, which we all know is the seventh day of the week, Saturday.
