Psalm 93 is a short psalm titled “The Eternal Reign of the Lord”, and yes, our God will reign forever. God is the almighty, our Creator. He has always been, and He will always be. If you choose to be on God’s side, you will undoubtedly win. Satan’s life is short, his “roaming to and fro” on this earth will not last forever, and neither will his followers. God promises eternal life, Satan, only eternal death.

Psalm 94:
Here we are, awaiting for the Second Coming of Christ. And while it may seem like forever, it really isn’t. Our life on this earth is short, shorter than we realize. Just think, if Adam was on his deathbed today, he would have been born around 1100AD. He would have lived through the Dark Ages, the Victorian Age, the Wild West, the Industrial Revolution, the American Revolution, the Spanish American War, the Civil War, the War of 1812, two World Wars, the sexual revolution of the 60’s…we can’t imagine the things he would have saw. Yet today, if someone makes it to 90, they’ve lived a long life. When you look at it in that perspective, our wait isn’t all that long. Verse 2 of Psalm 94 says, “Rise up, O Judge of the earth; Render punishment to the proud.
Lord, how long will the wicked, How long will the wicked triumph
? These psalms were written nearly 3,000 years ago, and the author was still bemoaning the wicked, praying about “how long” it would be before the Messiah came to clean things up, just as we do today. Be patient. Our Lord is Coming! And what a grand day that will be!

Psalm 96: Again, we see a psalm where the people are yearning for God to come and render judgment, just as we are today. But here is my belief. I don’t believe in judgment. I know, start throwing rocks at me now, but hear me out first. For God to render judgment, He would have to sentence some to death, and my God doesn’t kill…He loves. He loves all of His children, regardless of their behavior. He is disappointed with those who choose not to follow Him, to not obey His commands; it saddens Him to no end. But He does not hate, nor does He want to kill the wicked. Instead, I believe that God is the source of eternal life. If we choose to separate ourselves from that source, when Jesus comes, those who abandoned God will not be able to withstand His Glory. Remember, Moses never looked upon the face of God, yet his face shone brightly from the Glory of God, and the children of Israel, who had separated themselves from God by molding a calf as an idol and were worshiping that idol, were unable to even cast their eyes upon Moses. Just think what would have happened to them if they had been in the presence of God Himself. And His voice was so Glorious, the children of Israel were afraid they would die if they heard it. So imagine what it will be like when Jesus comes, and we are not prepared to withstand His Glory! God doesn’t kill those who stray from Him, they are actually committing suicide.

And as one of my favorite pastors says, “I can’t prove my theory, but you can’t disprove it either”.

Have a blessed Sabbath rest. God bless you all!
